Bringing to life two of the remarkable scenes from a Shen Yun dance piece, this double-sided fan recalls the Chinese lore of goddess Chang’e who lives in a celestial palace on the Moon. Her husband, Houyi, is a legend-ary archer on Earth who saves humanity by shooting down nine of the ten suns in the sky. Once staying to-gether on Earth, this loving couple sadly has to part ways with one another when Chang’e mistakenly con-sumes the elixir of immortality and flies to the Moon alone.
